ChampionsWay! Martial Arts Business Community

As a big fan of networking, I have found that I get the best results when I am prepared to make a great pitch. Everyone should have an "elevator pitch", which is essentially your window of opportunity to impress the person that you are speaking to in 30 seconds or less.

I am out and about in my community a lot. I dine out a lot, I shop a lot, and I attend a lot of gatherings. I do so for personal sanity, but I also make my way around town to seek out networking opportunities. The more people that I meet and make an impression on, the more powerful my business becomes.

For example, both Shuman Concepts and Concepts 4 Kidz gain clients mainly through our networking opportunities. We do webinars for Championsway; post information on this community; I write articles for Tiger Claw and AWMA; and more. All of these networking opportunities provide me with great leads to grow our business. We have an elevator pitch for each company that we use when new prospects inquire about our business. We understand that we only have approxiamtely 30 seconds, or approximately 100 words to pitch our companies in hopes that the prospect will like what we say and take action.

The same goes for our Martial Arts school in St. Petersburg. We place ouselves in positions where we can network with other busines owners and possible new students. While we are out meeting and greeting people, we have an elevator pitch that we use to help us grow our school.

With that said, what's your elevator pitch? If you were to bump into the Mayor of your city and he asks you what type of busines do own, what would you say? Would you be prepared?

I'll get this blog started by sharing with you our elevator pitch:

On the Mat specializes in age-specific Martial Arts training. We use ground-breaking curriculums to target proper development like no other sport or activity. Through our programs, our students experience positive growth both physically and intellectually. On top of that, our students also experience improved emotional awareness and better social skills. As for our customer service, it is second to none. Our instructors are highly-skilled and our facility is state of the art. If you are someone you know is interested, have them call me for a free pre-evaluation and exclusive VIP offer. (Make sure you follow it up with handing them your business card or VIP pass)

respetuosamente

Key points that you should include are:
1. What is your competitive advantage? Our competitive advantage is age-specific Martial Arts training.

2. What is your market? Our target market is parent's that are interested in getting their children involved in sports and activities.

3. What makes your service special for your target market? Our program targets not only physical and intellectual growth like other sports and activities, but we also build develop emotional and social skills. We also have the very best customer service that you won't often find in sports such as baseball and soccer.

Hope this helps!
