Other Ways to Get Into the School Systems…
I saw this question in two different forums now- so I figured I’d do a post on it…
The Question-
“How do I get into the local school system?”
My experience in getting into school systems myself and helping clients do it has taught me that not all school systems are created equally.
Personal example-
When had a school in inner city Philadelphia – I worked with about 5 local catholic schools. (other organizations too- but that’s another post)
I choose the Catholic schools because working with a big city school district was just madness! The most I did with the public schools was free talks.
Anyway- for the catholic schools it was fundraising that hit home with them- so that’s what I did…
NOT COOKIE CUTTER.
I then moved and began operating in a small town in NJ that had 4 elementary schools. I tried the fundraising angle and was shot down!
Frustrated I decided to take another route-
I got fliers passed out in every classroom to every student simply because they were not fliers- They were announcements offering free seminars to the community. Local fundraisers really hit home too- like for families that are having trouble paying medical bills and the local food pantry.
Hope this helps!
