Here are 5 helpful tips on building your After School Program for 2010-2011!
You should already be marketing your After School Program, but just in case you have a late start here are some helpful tips. If you have a After School Program and would like to add to this list feel free, the more helpful tips for people the better!!
1.) Call your local school board and make sure you have faxed or e-mailed in a copy of your flyers you want to market schools with. In my county you HAVE to have approval for flyers to pass out so make sure you get that done first. This is FREE marketing so DONT pass it up!
2.) Call and get the times for all the upcoming orientations and kindergarten round-up's. You want to be at all of them!! In our county they are usually on the same day and same times, so make sure you have enough people helping you out with this.
3.) Get your flyers and marketing material printed and ready to go!!! ASAP
4.) Flyer all local public parking lots such as: Grocery Stores, Restaurants, Lowes, Home Depot, Toys R Us, The Mall etc. This is old school, but it works!
5.) Bandit Signs, this is also a great way to market your programs not just After School. If you are targeting for After School than make sure you place your signs in areas that are noticeable to drivers/parents, also place signs in front of your local elementary schools as well. check out http://www.866signguy.com/ for great bandit sign prices.
