Just a brief comment on learning his system through a second teacher: What a life changing experience. @39 when before taking lessons my doctor told me to get in shape and stop eating too much red meat. Out of breath just getting out of a chair before, but now as a beginner black belt I find inner energy after a four hour drill. Both my sons (now 17 and 15) also are doing well in school - we graduated together. Although we have never met, thank you Mr. Rhee. My east is in harmony with the west.

Tungent breathing forever!

Push ups.

I've worked up to two sets of 50 (10finger, 10 fist, thirty hands flat), next week -two sets of 60 till November.
Master Jhoon Rhee is a real role model, indeed, who walks the walk as well as talking the talk! 1,000 pushups a day at 75 years young of age! He has inspired this youngster, a young 68 years of age, to emulate him, and in time to do 1,000 pushups a day. I am now holding for awhile at 500 per day, six sets of 50 reps. Whenever I feel that I'm not up to doing my routine, I just go to Youtube, and there I see Master Rhee knocking out 100 pushups like it is child's play! This inspires me to keep on going towards my goal.
Bob,

The image of him appeared in my forehead while pushing them out last month, as if he where watching. I will be up to 400 per day by the end of the month, but see in the near future that the shirts I wear will no longer fit, the belt needing another notch made. Many trainers suggest a day off for recovery. Hmmm. I have found that my metabolism is in high gear. I'm into boiled a beets. I love beets and drink the water it is boiled in. Enjoy its natural sweetness for lunch, cold or warm. I juice carrots, apples, celery, and beets as well - a glass for first breakfast . There is truth to Master Rhee's diet, heavy in vegetables, - not too much meat - that encourages the body to rebuild. I am trying to discover away to motivate my self first thing in the morning though. The stiffness doesn’t wear off till an hour or so pass. Then by mid morning I'm ready to push them out.

Master Rhee is truly amazing, not only can he do 100 pushups consecutively with ease, he can do ten sets of 100 or 1,000 per day!

I have been doing my pushups daily, but I know what you mean, a lot of my friends and trainers that I know advise me to do them every other day, as they feel doing high numbers daily will lead to burnout and overtraining, as well as joint problems down the road. But for me, so far so good, I feel fine.
