Tip of the Week
USB hardware & Locking Computer

I want to start this week’s Tip with exciting News about our recent MAS Release. As you might be aware we have recently release MAS version 11.4 which is currently available for download. In this release we had lots of new additions and fixes however for me the most important one was the USB hardware compatibility.

As most of you know MAS was not compatible with USB hardware such as Receipt printers and bar code scanners till now... From now on you can connect your USB hardware to our software with no problem. You do need to install some drivers though which are located below

If you did encounter any problems then fill free to contact our technical support line at 877-774-5425 and choose option 2 from the menu.

Locking Computers:

After speaking to clients in daily basis I noticed that not many people are locking their computers before they leave the office. Well here is a quick instruction in how you can lock your computer in order to make sure the data and information on it has been secured.

Well, you may do this with Win + L on keyboard that is quickest way to lock up your screen. But some people prefer using mouse to lock their workstation.

1. Right click your mouse on anywhere of your desktop, select New then click Shortcut.
2. Copy and Paste inside these quotes: "rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation" in the text box
3. Click Next and name the Shortcut whatever you like.
4. Click Finish and it’s done. A “QuickLock” shortcut is created on your desktop, click it and your workstation will be locked right away.

(Note: This works in Vista as well as Win Xp)

If you have any questions about any of the release notes then contact your Account Manager.

I attempted to do this and I printed the bar code, but it's not scanning.
