Fund Raising Ideas

Here are a few ideas for schools that are looking to have some fund raisers to help families that are faced with financial difficulties.

1. Bake Sale-This has worked well at our schools, and it’s very simple to start.
a. Make Signup sheet for all members who are interested in helping
b. Have it for the entire month
c. Set up a table in your school and ask for volunteers
d. We initially offered it one day per week, and then it turned into every day.

Remember this

a. You have to push it hard and explain to parents that it will be going towards any families that are hit hard by the economy.
b. Set a Goal-We made a chart of our goal, and people like to see that are working towards a common goal.
c. If you are a small school your goal should be one or two student’s tuition for the month
d. Even if you only raise $25 you are still helping a family.

2. Hoagie Sale-This has been a big hit at our school.
a. See who can donate bread and lunchmeat for sandwiches.
b. Pre-Order from that should be passed out every day during all classes
c. Have a Table where people can order as well
d. The School should have some sample hoagies and also give them to parents during classes
e. All Hoagies are to be picked up on Friday---Make sure everyone knows this.

2. Flowers
