Hi Cway,
One thing I have not heard about is the implementation of a After School Program. The kind where you pick up the kids from their schools with a School Owned Bus (decorated in your school logo's etc) and take them to your After School Homework/Martial Arts Program.
This program sees to be a very, very successful way of making some good $$$.
But, I have never heard from Sensei Nick or anyone recommending this type of program as a Income Generator?
Love to hear peoples opinions on the subject, if they have a program? And does it really make Money?
Thanks,
John

I would be grateful to know more about your program and very interested in those fliers and your curriculum. Would you be willing to help out a newbe? We focus more on an outreach for at-risk kids, but i think your program sounds really great and would certainly give credit to you and your facility.
Thanks,,
Diane

John,
My husband and I run and After School Program at out facility. We have two 15 passenger vans (with our school logo on them). We pick up kids from all the schools in a 5-10 mile radius of our school. This program can be very lucrative! Beside the fact that you will generate a weekly income from tuition, the parents also train! I charge $60 a week, this includes: daily pick up from schools, martial arts class, homework time and snack time. I do not provide snacks, I have a snack machine or they can bring a snack. We teach American Jiu Jitsu to our kids, so we call our program After School Jiu Jitsu. Pick up is at 6pm.
Ross originally started this program and I came in about 5 years ago and started helping. We are NOT a daycare and I tell everyone of my parents this before they sign up. I have several employees that help run our ASJ program. I love our after school program! I would never not do it, but that is because I like the money to much!! I have flyers, packets and a curriculum if you are interested...
ASJ is a great program to have! A lot of my parents have started training as well, which is great because that brings in more $$. The word of mouth from my parents is also fantastic! The more people yo have the better!
I will up-load some of my ASJ stuff in the networking section of the library. My summer camp packet from last year is in there as well. If you do an after school program a summer camp is a MUST! I do mine from 7am-6pm and charge $80 a week per child. What you charge per week will depend on your market where you are located. I have 5 other schools with in 5 miles of me, so I have to be affordable to compete. I have the best program in my area. Ross was the first to start a Martial Arts after school program 12 years ago, and it has been going strong ever sense!!
