Rotating curriculum is pretty simple.

a. You teach the same curriculum to an entire class regardless of rank.
b. After the month or period that you do your testing cycyle is over, rotate the curriuculum

Pros

a. Good for a one person show
b. Easy lesson planning

Cons

a. Students can become bored (the more advanced student)
b. Less personal attention

Hope this helps
Thank you
Sensei Nick It does help
We have our set up in three different levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and four rotations for each level. This equals 3 years to black belt. It works out great because all beginners are doing the same form at the same time. By the time they reach intermediate they know all 4 beginner forms. In order to set it up, start with your last form in each cycle (i.e. last form beginner would do before moving to intermediate) and then work backwards from there. You then can assign different techniques (hand, kicks, self defense or whatever) to go with each form. Here is what ours looks like;

My husband and I teach about 160 students by ourselves and this helped us give better classes with less help. we have been doing it now for 2.5 years and our students who had been on traditional curriculum love rotation better.

If you want more examples, I would be happy to provide them. instructors@bhammartialarts.com
